SALEM ARTS FESTIVAL COMMUNITY ART PROJECT
The process of building this wreath began with dumpster dives at the local marina. There is so much of this shrink wrap that comes off boats in the spring. It is free, abundant....and dusty.
These are the little red scissors that could. All that shrink wrap needed to be cut into manageable pieces.
We held workshops to make big white flowers out of the shrink wrap. It was formed into petals and we wrote reflections about the past year on them.
We had a steel wreath form built for us by Scott Lanes of Witch City Customs. Installation Day was made so much better with the help of our volunteers.
This is Flora of Northey Street House B&B, one of our sponsors, standing under our completed project.
