THROW PILLOWS

It's true what they say;  swapping out the throw pillows is a quick and cheap way to make a room feel fresh.  I started making throw pillows because I've lived in apartments so long, and have needed easy ways to make rentals feel like my own.
SERIES 1:  CROCHETED AND KNITTED JERSEY
Manipulating the scale of familiar things can lead to cool stuff.  Knitting and crocheting at a large scale lets you really see the stitches, which I find intriguing.  Also, jersey washes well and is more comfortable on summer skin that wool.

SERIES 2:  FELT PILLOWS WITH STITCHED-ON LETTERING
My Sunday School teacher used to tell us stories using felt boards:  felt backdrops on to which she would place felt cut-outs of people and animals, which magically just stayed in place.  I think my fascination with felt began back then.  It is such a simple an straightforward material;  the Crayola box of the fabric world.  These are some pillows for Valentine's Day.  14 x 22.

SERIES 3:  GRAPHIC PRINT PILLOWS
I've discovered the endless possibilities of having my graphics printed!  Rick at Shirts Illustrated tells me he can print anything I draw on to just about any fabric or shape.
